The path leads from Obergrombach town hall square up into the fields above Sallenbusch and then goes by the chapel and back to the village center. The endpoint is the Grombach spring near the town hall square.

    Roadbook

From the town center with the town hall and the old synagogue, the hiking trail heads not outward but towards the upper Ungeheuerklamm. Reaching open fields, we walk through a valley towards the small forest 'Höheforst', which we also hike through. We come out at the barbecue area and walk a short distance towards the Sallenbusch homesteads, where we walk above the settlement through the wheat and rapeseed fields. We head towards Bonartshof, cross a country road and turn right into a forest area, which we also cross. At the northern edge of the forest, we leave the forest edge. Here you have a fantastic view of the Rhine plain, of Obergrombach, of the northern Black Forest and the Schwanner watchtower. From here you walk down between meadows and small gardens towards the road. Shortly before, there is a side path to the Erasmus Chapel. Then we follow the road back to the town center from where we started.
