A 7 km long hike that mostly leads on asphalt or solid paths to Mayrhöfen and Wartberg and back to St. Oswald.
From the town area, the first kilometers lead in the direction of Oberrauchenödt along the state road and the paved agricultural road. Followed by a short piece of natural path before it leads back to an agricultural road. In total, 2/3 is on asphalt and 1/3 on natural paths. Therefore, the hike can also be managed with a somewhat all-terrain stroller, and the 110 meters of altitude gain are also easy to overcome.

Safety information
The hike leads through the town area of St. Oswald bei Freistadt, partly on the sidewalk of Nordkammstraße. This must be crossed again during the hike. Some sections lead along agricultural roads that are little trafficked, but traffic must always be expected!

Roadbook
From the municipal office, go via the Nordkamm Landesstraße and continue in the direction of Freistadt. On the ridge, turn right onto the agricultural road to Rannerhof.
After passing a solitary farm, go left onto a field path after a few meters and follow it. In the forest, turn left onto the agricultural road, which leads back to the Nordkamm Landesstraße. Pay attention to traffic when crossing! Follow the path through Mayrhöfen to the next farm, then turn left again onto the agricultural road that takes us to Wartberg.
The path is somewhat poorly signposted here! Go straight across the state road and follow the agricultural road. Turn left and follow the path towards "houses Wartberg 9-14a,17." After the bridge, we find the next signpost again on the left.
From here, it goes back to St. Oswald, past the church and right again to the municipal office.

The nearest bus stop "St. Oswald b. Freistadt Schule" is reachable with bus numbers 346 (from Linz Chemiepark); 333 (Weitersfelden and Freistadt) and 332 (Freistadt).

Coming from Linz, leave the S10 at Freistadt South, then drive via Lasberg to St. Oswald.
Coming from Lower Austria, turn left to St. Oswald after Sandl.
