Through meadows and forest to the Renner Cross and the source of the Aurach stream.
You have 2 options to start this wonderful round. With an access path at P Marswald initially at the edge of the forest with a view of the opposite nature reserve Mordgrund towards Oberschleichach, just before the village turn right towards Neuschleichach onto the actual circular trail O3 towards Aurach source or start directly in Neuschleichach at the parking lot by the campsite.
Neuschleichach is a very idyllic and quiet place, surrounded by meadows and forests, a place where the road ends.
From the parking lot at the campsite it goes at the edge of the village north upwards to a forest road that runs above the Aurach valley through fields and forest. The first destination is the Renner Cross, which commemorates the district forester Johann Renner, who is said to have been shot here in 1768 by two poachers. Now you turn left twice to shortly afterwards reach a sharp right turning forest path leading down into the valley. Once there, a short detour on a narrow path to the Aurach source, which lies in an idyllic spot deep in the forest, is worthwhile. Back on the main path, it goes through green meadows and fields back to the starting point.
