North Loop

Our starting point is the parking lot below Zizenhausen Castle (town hall). From there, we walk through the castle garden, at the end we stay left. We walk under the railway bridge on the paved path, through the forest and along the edge of the forest. At the fallow deer enclosure we keep left towards Burgtal. We follow the signpost HW 9 towards Hoppentenzell along the "Postweg". We continue on the path to the Evangelizipfel. Here we keep left and continue following the signs to Hoppentenzell. At the signpost Hoher Rain we turn right and keep to the left. Surrounded by fields and meadows we reach Hoppentenzell. We turn left into Johanniterstraße. A signpost leads us to the right across the street onto the path towards Neuschorenhof, we continue walking on the "Schorenweg", which later turns left. Here we leave the "Schorenweg" and keep right towards Schachenhof. We then follow the path to Neuschorenhof. Here a signpost awaits us that leads us back to Zizenhausen. We pass Altschorenhof, where we can refresh ourselves with farmhouse ice cream. The path leads us left past Neuseggehof and we continue hiking through the forest along the Tobelbach until we meet Schmelzestraße. We walk along it until we can turn left into Sennhofstraße. Passing the school, we cross Meßkircher Straße back to the castle.
