The well-known Nagelfluh ridge hike offers experienced mountain hikers a unique experience with its impressive views and rich flora between the Hochgrat near Oberstaufen and the Mittag near Immenstadt.

This demanding ridge hike is an extensive route that allows experienced hikers numerous summit experiences in one day – after the 1834 m high Hochgrat, the highest point of the Nagelfluh chain, Rindalphorn, Buralpkopf, Sedererstuiben, Stuiben, Steineberg, and finally the Mittag are crossed. We move on this ridge hike through the Nagelfluhkette Nature Park, whose diverse natural and cultural landscape is shaped by the namesake Nagelfluh rock. Due to its location, geological conditions, and climate, the nature park is habitat for numerous rare plant and animal species, some of which we can admire along the way. Sufficient surefootedness, freedom from dizziness, stamina, and provisions are essential for this extensive route with partly exposed and secured passages. In return, we are rewarded with magnificent views of the hilly Alpine foothills, the main Alpine ridge, and the surrounding valleys as far as Lake Constance and Säntis. The route is thus undoubtedly one of the most beautiful
