To the Bertgenhütte, we ascend a little over this, then turn left through a mixed forest and then a krummholz belt into the Schneekar. After crossing the main gully, the terrain becomes steeper, more crumbly and more difficult. The path winds up on the left side of the cirque through dwarf pines, over crags and short, partly secured rock passages to the Bertgenhütte.Along the ascent route, we return to the fork, hike up a wide path to the Poschalm, climb right behind it over a chicken ladder and follow a forest path (no. 436) which leads us
