From the station, we first turn towards Siegelsbach and cross the railway tracks behind the engine shed. Passing a horse paddock, we reach the sports field. Here turn right and always follow the path downhill into the Mühlbach valley until we reach the district road 3947. We cross the road and turn right. Along the edge of the forest, we walk to the “Schnepfenhardter Mill” (also called Grundmühle). This former mill is now the inn “Mühlenschenke” with traditional cuisine. At the entrance area, an original mill wheel can still be seen. We leave the mill grounds via the parking lot and cross the district road, then enter the weekend house area “Henkert” through the forest. After this small settlement, we come across a sandstone bench standing by the path, the “Valentinsruhe,” a witness of the past. The loads carried on the back were set down here for a rest pause. Follow the improved path further along the railway tracks back to the starting point.
