Safety information
The route is technically very easy; the main challenge is orientation. You need this route description and additionally either a hiking map or a GPS device with a downloaded GPS track.Roadbook
We start the ascent at the road junction in the hamlet of Fahrenberg (Winkl). First, we hike just a few meters uphill to the left on a road; at the no-entry sign, we take the pull path and follow it to the highest house in Fahrenberg. Attention: The path splits several times and there are new forest roads not yet shown on the map. It is best to always take the steepest, often oldest/primitive path to reach the described house reasonably quickly. Of course, it is also possible to simply follow the access road and reach the house in a big loop.
From here we walk flat on the tractor path across a meadow, past a spring catchment, always slightly uphill until we reach a wide forest road. On this road, past a hunting hut, to the large crossroads in front of the Pramfelder Reith (approx. 1,070 m).
Here we turn left and follow this forest road steadily uphill to a high seat in front of a large wood storage/turnaround place.
Here begins a primitive pull path, which we follow to its end and then head off-trail (about 50 vertical meters) through sparse high forest to another forest road.
On this forest road to the right up to a distinctive left bend. There again begins a pull path, which we ascend to its highest point. Now just a few minutes off-trail through young woods to the highest point of Imitzberg (1,298 m). As the summit is a plateau, finding the actual highest point is a slight challenge.
Since the view from the summit is very limited because of the young forest, it is worth continuing to the northwestern rocky sub-peak, from which you can enjoy an absolutely stunning 360° panoramic view.
Descent as ascent to the Pramfelder Reith, but now continue straight on a forest road, turn right at the first crossroads and at the following two crossroads turn left each time, then follow the road to its end.
Now a simple pull path leads in a few minutes to the right to the summit of the Tannberg (1,282 m). Here, too, the 'summit' is actually a plateau, but in this case a densely forested high area.
Return to the Pramfelder Reith as ascent, descending now always on the forest or access road to Fahrenberg.
Singerskogel ~880m
