From the forest ridge to the Freundschaftshöhe, you constantly cross a fairly steep forest and meadow slope. Since the path is also very narrow, surefootedness is helpful here. We start our hike in the small village "In der Klamm" below the two inns "Silberfuchs" and "Franzl im Holz". We walk to the last houses, at the marked crossroads choose the left route ("Wamering"), cross the stream and now follow the path through forest and over meadows up to the idyllic Laudachsee, located in a hollow (890 m). Exact details about this walking section are here. The managed Ramsaualm invites you to stop for a break.
We then follow the wide forest road towards Grünberg, but only for a few meters! At the first forest road branching off to the left, we follow it to its soon end.
Here begins a clearly visible but narrow path quite steeply up a forest ridge, then in a longer, flat traverse on the slope to the wooden sign on the Freundschaftshöhe (1,020 m).

From there, several options are available to return to the starting point. One of them leads - see GPS track - down a forest road marked with yellow AV trail markers to the settlement "In der Klamm".

Public transport
There is a bus stop at the inn "Franzl im Holz". However, the bus only runs on weekdays and even then only rarely. More information here.Directions
From Gmunden on the B120 towards Scharnstein until the village Engelhof (inn). Turn right here and follow this side road for several kilometers to the two inns "Franzl im Holz" and "Silberfuchs". However, go past them a little downhill until you reach the sharp right turn to the group of houses "In der Klamm".Another option is to follow the B120 a bit longer, namely to the village Kranichsteg. Turn right before a (former) inn and follow this side road to the village "In der Klamm".
