Since Moßbach is poorly accessible by public transport, I recommend combining the stage from Moßbach to Neustadt/O. with route 14 from Weida to Moßbach and planning an overnight stay in Moßbach. The hike leads through the Plothener pond area, also known as the "Land of a Thousand Ponds," which belongs to the "Thuringian Slate Mountains/Upper Saale" Nature Park. You will come to the widely visible Knapp windmill of Linda and reach the Lutherweg again in the Kleine Bauernholz forest area, which will accompany you to Neustadt a. d. Orla.
