At 1602m it represents a magnificent viewpoint over the Maggiorasca, Bue, Nero, Ragola, Penna, and Aiona peaks
However, being right at the center of the aforementioned "famous" peaks, it is overlooked and thus represents one of the most underrated summits of the Ligurian Apennines
Very easy to reach, after 10 minutes of forest you are already on a sub-peak with an open view, then you climb the ridge to the other connected peaks that compose it
However, the trail's ease should not lead you to underestimate it because all the peaks drop steeply with considerable exposure on the west side (it is always possible to stay 2 meters back to enjoy the view without anxiety)
Author’s recommendation
It is easy but difficult at the same time
I never tire of repeating it... be careful of the exposure!!!

Very exposed peaks, pay CLOSE attention... not recommended for those with vertigo problemsTips and suggestions
For those with vertigo/fear of exposure, it is still worth reaching the very first sub-peak in 10 minutes to already enjoy a magnificent view
From this sub-peak, it may seem difficult or at least "scary" to reach the main summit but it is not... all peaks are connected by an easy trail that remains behind the most exposed points
Roadbook
At Passo Tomarlo, there is no sign marking the start of the trail; you need to take a track that visibly points toward the forest below the mountain
After about a hundred meters, you need to turn right (not indicated) onto a narrow forest trail which is nevertheless marked on the trees up to the summit
The short stretch in the forest is very easy and clean
Once out of the woods, you must climb the ridge and enjoy the view
