Today's hiking section starts in the surfing village of Bogliasco and leads up to the summit of Monte Rotondo with a fantastic view of the sea.
Our tour on Monte Rotondo takes us through a beautiful, varied landscape above the Ligurian Sea. We climb from Bogliasco, past characteristic churches (Santa Chiara, San Bernardo, Sant'Ilario) and reach the summit region of Monte Santa Croce. The route delights with picturesque panoramic views, shady forest passages and short, challenging climbs. Highlights include encounters with beautiful sacred buildings, observing the coast and the Mediterranean atmosphere that accompanies us every meter of the way. Bogliasco is only around 10 kilometers from Genoa and is particularly well-known among surfers, as this is where Italian surfing began in the 1980s. The small town offers direct access to the Ligurian coast as well as numerous hiking trails. The traditional festivals such as the Natività di Maria Santissima (September), when processions and village festivals take place, are particularly attractive for visitors.
