The Quiet Side of the Panorama Mountain

Thanks to the Messner project "Museum in the Clouds," Monte Rite is no longer what it once was. From the south, accessible via shuttle taxis from the Cibiana Pass, today crowds of visitors flood the mountain that was once hardly noticed. A sense of the former calm can be experienced on the western ascent from Zoppè, where the Talamini hut, closed for years, has been accessible again since summer 2011.
