Monte Pietraborga

From Trana follow the indication for Pratovigero by taking a dirt road on which you will walk for most of the route.
Arrived at Pratovigero there are two options: continue along the road or, following this track, climb the "Direttissimo" path up to the summit. It is 200m of altitude gain that climbs quite steeply through the woods, but it still does not present problems or difficulties with dry terrain. In case of mud or snow, however, I would not recommend it. The track is clear and always well marked.
Once at the top, an exceptional panorama opens up over the Turin plain and the entire Alpine arc from Liguria to Gran Paradiso.
The descent is made passing through the gentler Pian dei Celti, where there are Menhirs dating back to the Neolithic (there is a sign with indication and explanation).
After a short distance, you resume the dirt road that returns to the start.

Simple but satisfying trip.
