At 2,363 metres, Monte Pic rewards the climb with incredible 360-degree views across Val Gardena and the surrounding Dolomites. It’s a more challenging peak to reach, but you’ll find fewer crowds and plenty of space to stop and take in the UNESCO World Heritage scenery.
From the summit, enjoy views across Ortisei, Santa Cristina and Selva, with the Odle mountains, Sella Massif, Sassolungo and Alpe di Siusi stretching out around you. Monte Pic is a more challenging climb, but its quieter trails and incredible views make it well worth the effort.
From the top of the Col Raiser cable car, follow trail 4A past Odler Hütte towards Rifugio Fermeda. Continue along trail 2 across the Mastlé pasture, then join trail 6 for the climb to Monte Pic.
From the summit, follow trail 6 towards Sëurasas, then trail 20 past Baita Sëurasas to the Cristauta car park.
The 358 shuttle bus from Cristauta only runs at certain times in the morning and afternoon, so check the timetable and plan your return journey before setting off.
