We leisurely ascend through high-stemmed mixed forest. Suddenly it becomes steep and we are at the summit with a panoramic view all around. The effort-to-panorama ratio is also very good here; slightly less view than from the Cima Vezzena, but also a few hundred meters less in elevation. Alcide De Gasperi was born in Pieve Tesino.
We start from the picnic area »Le Buse«, 1197 m, continuing on the forest path in the direction of travel as indicated by the sign »Cima la Presa« (397). We ignore the right turn shortly thereafter, as well as the tempting descent to the right after the left curve and barrier (also marked red-white there). At the next crossroads and junction we continue straight ahead, i.e., uphill on the gravel forest path. The signs repeat (»Cima la Presa«, 397). After a sharp hairpin turn to the right, we ascend onto the wide path slightly to the left (signs as before). Now it gets even steeper. When it flattens again, we're not interested in the sign and path to the left (»Col delle Bagole«, 397A), but the next sign a few steps later matters all the more. Here we turn sharply left ascending onto the path (sign »Monte Mezza – Cima Lasta«, 395), which immediately leads us to a small saddle, 1540 m.
