The route starts from Rifugio Mario Paci through the forest, gently ascending until reaching the village of San Giacomo. Here passes the regional border between Marche and Abruzzo and the ancient border between the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies and the Vatican State. Leaving behind the small village, the ascent continues through the forest, also encountering a small pond, until reaching the Tre Caciare area, characterized by three ancient stone buildings used by shepherds as shelter. The ascent continues alternating the last parts of forest with meadows until reaching near the summit of Monte Piselli with its antenna at the top. The view starts to become increasingly interesting while continuing to climb. We are surrounded by a remarkable landscape, ranging from the Sibillini Mountains National Park with Monte Vettore in clear view to the east, continuing with the Monti della Laga, Gran Sasso, and Majella range while looking south. To the west the spectacle is no less impressive, with the chance to admire a wide area of the Adriatic coast extending up to Monte Conero to the north. From the summit, once satisfied with admiring such a suggestive panorama, descend by turning left and following a gully that will lead us again to the base of the lift in the Tre Caciare area before retracing the initial stretch of the route from San Giacomo back to Rifugio Paci.
