On the south side of Lake Ledro, the attractive Monte Corno rises 1000 meters above the water level. The summit cross can already be seen flashing from the lake shore. Thanks to its location, there is a magnificent view far down to the lake from up there and to the northwest a clear view of the highest peak of the Garda Mountains, Monte Cadria. Along our ascent route are the charming Malga Giù (with a historical exhibition) and two small alpine chapels. As a start or end of the tour, a visit to the 4000-year-old pile-dwelling settlement including the museum at Lago di Ledro is, of course, a must. Some of the huts have been faithfully reconstructed.
From the parking lot in Pian di Pur we follow the asphalt road almost flat upstream (marked No. 419) into a side valley of the Ledro valley, the Pian di Pur. Shortly before Malga Cita (signpost) at a fork in the road, we keep left and follow the signs "Malga Giù" and "Chiesetta S. Ana Giù". At the next fork, we continue straight ahead. Our path then gradually turns right into the Val Scaglia, first ascending before the path evens out again. Before the main building of Malga Giù, turn right to the large barn and follow the alpine road to Cà de Mez and the Chiesetta Sant’Anna, which can be visited. Beyond the chapel, ascend the slope, turn left at the junction until we meet the large connecting trail. Now turn right (marked No. 456) almost flat on a wide path through the southeast flank of Monte Corno to a fork (Bochet del Spinèra; 30 min). Here begins the direct ascent to Monte Corno: steeply left upwards (marked No. 456 B), then continuing on the north side of the summit structure
