This loop is one of the most complete and rewarding outings to get to know Monte Civillina, a small but extremely panoramic summit of the Vicentine Prealps. From Passo Zovo, you enter a forest environment and forest roads, with a steady climb towards the ridge that leads to the summit: here, on clear days, the view extends over the prealpine ridges and towards the Agno and Leogra valleys.
The Civillina is not just about the panorama: the area preserves evidence of the First World War and is also known for geological and naturalistic aspects that make the excursion "cultural" as well as sporty. Furthermore, the mountain is part of the Vicentine Alps metalliferous district: the geology (dolomitic limestones and magmatic veins) and mineralizations have favored historical extraction activities, still visible in the broader landscape of the territory.
On the return, the itinerary touches Fonte Civillina, an ideal point for a break, and may include passing through the Passo del Colombo area (depending on the chosen variant), then closing the loop on comfortable forest roads back to Passo Zovo.
