Scenic circular route on the highest mountain of the northern Apennines (T2).
Monte Cimone is the highest mountain of the northern Apennines and the Emilia-Romagna region, and therefore a first-class viewpoint. Three good reasons to visit this mountain! Easy hiking trails lead to the summit from all sides. When ascending from the west, you avoid the unattractive ski area on the north and east sides during summer. From Doccia del Cimone, a circular route can be done ascending via CAI trail no. 485 and descending via CAI trails no. 447 and 489.
