The hike above Rapallo in Liguria leads past a medieval church to Monte Pegge, a beautiful viewpoint mountain. The view extends over Rapallo to the Mediterranean, the foothills of Portofino, and the Ligurian hinterland. At the summit there is also a shelter hut, which can be used by hikers as an intermediate accommodation. Along the way, mainly forests are crossed, but there are repeated viewpoints. Two restaurants invite you to take a break at the start and end of the route, and the ascent at the beginning is taken by a cable car that was opened in 1934.
