From the parking lot at La Plagne on a good path to the Col de l'Apette, all very well signposted. Then continue following the signs "Mont Granier, par les Barres," along a good hiking path, wonderful scenery.
Then the path turns left, also well signposted here, becoming steeper and a bit exposed but never difficult. Over some secured passages upwards and then on easy terrain with a few easy climbing sections (I) to the plateau. Then continue on easy terrain to the summit. The cross is not on the highest point and is now closed because the rock below has broken off. You can see that clearly on the descent.
The descent leads downward to the west, a good path that specifically uses the "weak spots" of the western slope. Also spectacular is the passage through a large cave. Please always stay on the marked path to avoid knocking stones down below!
