The approximately 8 km long mill path is a short but varied hiking experience full of history and nature. Start and finish is Fürth. The path connects two former mill sites and leads through the wide Oster valley as well as the narrower Lautenbach valley. Along the way, attention and a sense of observation are required, as not all relics are immediately recognizable. The tour is particularly attractive in spring with fresh greenery of the black alders, in summer through pleasantly cool valley sections and in autumn with colorful leaf coloring in the young forest. A detour to the Steinbach local history museum is worthwhile to delve deeper into mill and regional history. A quiet, nature-connected hike with exciting insights into times gone by. The museum's oil mill Wern is freely accessible during the opening hours of the restaurant Wern's Mill.
