The Sentiero delle Meatte 152 is one of the most fascinating routes on Monte Grappa both from a historical perspective and for the extraordinary panoramic views over the Venetian plain. It will be an opportunity to breathe history as the Meatte mainly represent an impressive military work created by the Italian military engineers in 1918 by carving this military road into the rocks overlooking the valley below to ensure supplies were protected from enemy fire and to support the battle on the peaks.

Sacello di San Liberale - Pian dela Bala - Meatte - Cima Mandria - Malga Vedetta - Sacello di San Liberale

One of the most evocative routes of Monte Grappa which, although it does not include reaching Cima Grappa, is one of the most beloved excursions for its significant historical value and extraordinary panoramic views. From the San Liberale parking lot, we climb wooded sections with steep slopes and continue keeping to the left on path 151 which spirals drawing the mountain's side up to Pian dela Bala. From here, we take the mule track carved in the rock (path 152) connecting Boccaor-Meatte-Archeson, extending at altitude towards the east crossing tunnels, shelters, and observation points placed below the trench line overlooking Valle di San Liberale. Path 152 is a unique military work made with picks and explosives by the Italian military engineers in 1918, carving the rock faces overlooking the valley below until reaching Archeson. After reaching the Archeson pass, we continue to Cima Mandria to enjoy the breathtaking view over the Piave Valley. After a short refreshing break, we return to Malga Vedetta and take path 155 della Candarca which descends crossing enchanting woods until returning to the starting point.
