You start from the ferry in Matting - directly by the church. You follow the signs of the Jurasteig, past the chapel, uphill to the viewpoint on the Hanselberg. Continue on the Jurasteig. After 3.5 kilometers you reach an asphalt road with detailed hiking signs. Here you let the Jurasteig trail off to the right towards Bad Abbach and turn left.
