A long ridge separates the Vorau basin in the north, the Lafnitz valley in the east, and the Pöllau Valley Nature Park Region in the south, culminating in the Masenberg, which is hiked from all directions as a viewpoint peak. With the town of Vorau, you already have several highlights at the starting point: the baroque abbey, the underground facilities Sub Terra, an open-air museum, as well as a historic town center with a nearly 400-year-old town hall and cozy places to eat.
