The path starts at the volcano house and first takes us to the Strohner Mäarchen, where a shelter offers a resting place. On the further route, there is a wonderful panoramic view as far as the Hunsrück. At the district of Trautzberg lies the rewetted Trautzberger Maar. A bench invites you to linger. We pass the village in the west and turn into a bright beech forest. It leads into the Mühlenberg path, which offers views into the lava pit on one side and the Strohner mills on the other. Back on the road, we can admire the famous lava bomb before returning to the starting point.

You should definitely combine this hike with a visit to the volcano museum. For a finish, the Vulkan café is recommended. If you are very hungry, the pizzeria is suggested.
