A gentle, leisurely hiking mountain with amazing views of the Pustertal valley and the Dolomites. The mountain is the first peak of a long ridge that flanks the Antholz Valley. Hikers in good shape can also extend the tour, otherwise this is a hike for everyone.
From Taisten, take the car to Mudlerhof (car park above the farm), where the hike begins. Here you follow the farm track no. 31 on the left (or the path – with the same marking - which shortens the bends) into the steepening forest and to the tree-free heights of the mountain ridge. The broad hilltop bears a summit cross and the next peaks of the ridge are already visible. For the descent, walk slightly up and down in a north-easterly direction to the alpine inn Neue Taistner Sennhütte. On the alpine path you hike back to the car park on a gentle slope.
