Logger's Path

Combine your love of delicious food and the great outdoors with the «Sentier des Bûcherons» gourmet trail. Along the way, you will have the chance to sample regional delicacies in quaint mountain restaurants and cafés, such as croûte au fromage (cheese on toast, Swiss style!), regional cheese and meat specialities, as well as meringues topped with a generous helping of Gruyères double cream.

The trail itself begins at Les Pléiades.
Before setting off, boost your energy levels with a delicious croûte au fromage at the Restaurant des Pléiades. The trail leads you along the mountain ridge of Les Pléiades before turning right to Prantin, Les Mossettes and finally Fontanna David.
A little further on, a path heads left. This will take you to the Passerelle de Fégire, la Cierne au Bocliou, then Lake Les Joncs. Against this picturesque backdrop, sample a mouth-watering selection of regional cheese and meat specialities. At the end of the descent to Les Vérollys, Les Rosalys and Les Paccots, your efforts will be rewarded with meringues and double cream in the Restaurant Le Tsalè. A bus will then take you to Vevey via Châtel-St-Denis. However, if you have opted to do the round trip, Les Pléiades - Les Paccots - Les Pléiades, a sweet treat awaits you in the Auberge du Lac des Joncs before you make your way back to Les Pléiades.

Savour Lake Geneva and the Fribourg Pre-alps! If you prefer to take the car rather than public transport, simply drive to the car park at Les Motalles (from there it is a 15-minute walk to the train terminus).
