The Limargue is the transition between the Ségala lotois highlands and the Causses du Quercy. It stretches as a narrow strip between Padirac in the northwest and Figeac in the southeast. In the beautifully restored village of Fons in the heart of the Limargue, a lovely circular route begins through the typical hilly landscapes. There are no villages or larger settlements here. People live together in many small hamlets, some of which we encounter on the tour.
From the parking lot in Fons on the D148 towards the town center and soon at the boule court (P. de la Pinade) turn right onto the meadow path. It immediately splits, we go right. A little further uphill the path splits again, here we take the right fork again. At the end on the road approx. 30 m straight ahead, then shorten its large loop on a path to the right. Beyond that, continue straight on the road. Opposite house No. 1071 turn right onto the cart path. At the crossroad before a slope turn left. Our path ends at a road, here straight ahead/right. We continue to the large D840 and cross it straight into the dead-end street. After about 100 m turn right onto the path, which runs parallel to the D840 for a stretch. Then it becomes increasingly narrow and leads downhill as a trail. After 20 minutes, cross the D840 again at the stop sign and go straight into the Chemin de Plaîsance.
