Great circular hike along ridges; the slopes are popular with ski tourers in winter and berry pickers in autumn!
Author’s recommendation
Route also possible in the reverse direction; alpine pastures close around the end of September.

Safety information
The entire route is wonderfully marked; we are also on the "traces of the 3 summit run, 99,999 steps." The path between Himmeleck and Silberling runs partly on sloping terrain, slippery when wet.Roadbook
We park in Wald am Schoberpass. The first 5 kilometers are admittedly dull – "valley hiking" on asphalt & gravel. From the quarry on, it becomes wonderfully hikeable, especially in autumn when the colors have already appeared and the lingonberries are ripe. Soon the Bärensulsattel is reached; another steep climb awaits us on the Griesmoarkogel, then a more relaxed ascent to the Himmeleck, the highest point of the route. Down before going up again to the Silberling and finally to the Großer Schober at the end of the route. Soon we dive back into the forest area, passing the Schwarzbeeralm, descending all the way back to the starting point in Wald/Schoberpass.
