We start at the last paved curve of the road and head east onto the agricultural path beginning in the curve.

Travel to Nordfjordeid express buses from Oslo. To the junction on the road to Måløy please use local bus to the below described junction from the main road to Stryn.The hike is extended by 1 km each way by the approach from the main road to the starting point.
Directions
From the town of Nordfjordeid at Nordfjord take the road to Måløy leading east.From the last roundabout, drive 4.5 km until a blue town sign "Haugen" appears on the right.
200m further, at the sign "Ridsenter", take a sharp right.
Drive 1 km uphill straight ahead until after a hairpin curve the asphalt ends.
Park here at the side of the road and start the hike at the tip of the curve on the hiking trail.
