Le chemin suit la petite Ill rive droite et revient rive gauche.
Le chemin après l'abri d'Ichtratzheim est un peu plus gênant au début : des orties, des arbres à emjamber etc. Pour ceux qui veulent du confort, tourner à gauche avant d'arriver à la première passerelle, et revenir par le chemin balisé losange bleu.
