The route runs along narrow paths past some varied rock formations with great views. The Fleckstein, with its small rock gate and mighty rock formations, is just one highlight of the route. Particularly worth seeing is also the historic log-driving facility in the Storrbach valley that runs along the path.

The Lemberger Loggers' Route begins at the sports ground of SV Lemberg in the Pirmasens-Land holiday region. It takes you through the Palatinate Forest and offers hidden forest huts, impressive rocks, and magnificent views. Furthermore, on the section of the path through the Storrbach valley, you can find the remains of the historic log-driving facility and thus experience a part of the history of forestry.

UFFBASSE! - Campaign for considerate coexistence in nature

    • Always behave considerately, friendly, and respectfully towards everyone you meet along the way.
    • Take care of nature, do not destroy plants, and always stay on the paths. Try to avoid excessive noise and leave the forest before dusk.
    • Remember a garbage bag for the way and take your waste back home with you.
    • Please keep your dog on a leash at all times. Other visitors and animals will thank you.
    • For your own safety, observe all trail closures, even on weekends.
    • Only park in designated parking areas. Leave room for emergency vehicles and agricultural machines.
    • Give priority to agricultural and forestry traffic, please.

    Safety information

    Due to current events:

    Corona Guide German Hiking Association

    General information:

Especially in autumn, care should be taken as fallen leaves on the ground can cover unevenness, roots, stones, or holes in the path. After thunderstorms or heavy rain, trees may still fall or branches may drop afterward. Particularly in adverse weather conditions, natural paths can become muddy and slippery. Not all rocks or precipices are secured with ropes or railings. Sure-footedness is required in some places. Expect path impairments of this kind when hiking. If you consider certain sections impassable for you, you should avoid them.

    NOTE:

We strive to announce all closures due to forestry work or hunting societies on this platform. Nevertheless, there are situations when hiking trails are closed, and we may not have been informed. If you unexpectedly encounter a trail closure or detour, please observe the instructions for your own safety.

    Roadbook

The starting point of the path is the parking lot at the SV Lemberg sports ground. From there, the signs lead down a narrow path and the route crosses the L485 after a while. The path leads over a small bridge over the Salzbach into the forest. After a while, the first highlight of the route is reached, the Stephanshäuschen. Additionally, right next to the Stephanshäuschen is an oak tree declared a natural monument as well as a seating area, offering a good opportunity for a rest. The path continues past the Blacksbrunnen, uphill to the Grafenfelsen. It is worthwhile to climb the iron stairs to enjoy the beautiful panoramic view from the rock. From the Grafenfelsen, the route goes back into the forest, where the next remarkable rock formation is not long in coming. The path runs around the Fleckstein and then through an impressive rock gate. Afterwards, it goes for a few meters along the rock wall until the path meets the somewhat wider forest path again. Now it goes downhill along the Rentnerpfad to the Melkenplätzer pond into the Storrbach valley. From the pond, the path follows the former log-driving canal up to the Philippsklause (Wüstklamm). On this route is also the Friedrichshäuschen, which has several seating options and is therefore suitable for a short break. The route then leads uphill into the forest to leave the Storrbach valley behind. Through the forest and the Lemberg district Langmühle, the path continues past the Rudolf-Keller-Haus and over the already known forest path back to the sports ground and thus the starting point of the route.
