Circular route starting and ending in Heeselicht. We park the car at the hiking parking lot in the center of Heeselicht. A little east of here, the hiking trail turns right into the Polenztal. In the village area, idyllic meadows lie to the left and right, decorated with thousands of blooming spring snowflakes at the proper season. The path descends along a forest road to the Scheibenmühle. Someone is trying to breathe new life into it. Maybe soon a leisure restaurant again?
On the opposite side of the Polenz, we turn left onto the path beside the stream and follow it with slight ups and downs heading north. Time and again there are beautiful views of the Polenz and the meadows. After about 4 km, after crossing the road to Cunnersdorf, we reach the Bockmühle. A family from the island of Rügen(!) has transformed the property into an inviting house. Worth a visit, in summer also with a charming beer garden. Recommendation: sea buckthorn parfait, simply delicious.
Alongside the Polenz, the path continues in the valley to the Knochenmühle, also a restaurant known for its game specialties. From the Knochenmühle, we follow the forest road uphill to the S161 state road, where we turn left.
Unfortunately, it is unavoidable to walk a short stretch along the roadside. Fortunately, the traffic is manageable.
After a few hundred meters, we turn right onto the path towards Langenwolmsdorf. Ahead we soon see a large barn. From there, a cross path leads left (hopefully it hasn't been plowed over by now; alternatively, you can walk all the way to Langenwolmsdorf, then keep left in the village). We pass a small pond and soon reach the wide path back to the state road. There still a very short stretch along the road southwest, then unmistakably a forest path turns left into Scharzen Busch.
We soon meet the hiking trail coming up from the Bockmühle, and gently turn right onto this path. Soon we come out of the forest, with paddocks on both sides, and the field path to Heeselicht is beautifully lined with trees.
In the village, we arrive exactly back at the parking lot, the starting point of our hike.
