The Small and the Large Illerabbruch Route start at the parking lots on Illerstraße and run from there southwards. The very beautiful hiking trail leads through the Buxheim forest always directly along the Illerabbruch, above the Iller. After about 2.5 km, the small route branches off to the west downwards and reaches the Iller via a steep path. There it meets the large route again, which also leads to the Iller via Brunnen.
