Large forest route Sanitz

We circle the church clockwise and see beautiful half-timbered houses (1). We follow Fritz-Reuter-Straße to the right and turn right into "Hof Sanitz" street. Now we follow the street until it merges into John-Brinckmann-Straße. Here we turn right. We walk straight ahead over a railway crossing and a traffic light intersection. The path leads us out of the town. At the edge of the forest on the right is a farmstead with a beautiful old barn. We walk straight ahead on a sandy path. It leads through the magnificent forest towards Groß Freienholz. Finally, we turn left. On the left, we see the Greencamp (2), a recreational facility for children and youth. Soon, on the right, a resting place (3) invites us to take a break. The path merges into an asphalt road, which we follow to the right. It finally bends left, and we continue straight ahead. We approach the nicely situated Billenhagen Forestry Office (4) and follow the path running along the fence to the right. We circle the forestry half and at the fork in the path, turn right into Schröder Schneise. Shortly after an intersection, we see a beautiful cabin (5) a bit off the path on the left. We continue along Schröder Schneise until it merges with another path. Here we turn right. We hike straight ahead until we reach a paved path. We follow this to the left until we reach the country road. Here we walk briefly to the right and then turn left onto a path. This leads us to Klein Freienholz. Here we are surprised by a tram (6) in a garden. We go straight at the intersection and at the following fork turn left. Soon we reach Ribnitzer Straße, which we follow to the left. At the main street in town, we turn right and then left onto John-Brinckmann-Straße. We return to the starting point the way we came.
