Lake and alpine meadow hike from the Fanealm
Varied circular hike, passing alpine meadows, the idyllic Marblsee, and the majestic Wilden See below the Wilde Kreuzspitze.
This easy and scenic circular hike from the Fanealm in the Valsertal leads past the rustic Aschilaalm up to the idyllic Marblsee. Here, the view opens on the mighty Hohe Kreuzspitze, which stretches its peak into the sky. The destination of the hike is the majestic Wilden See, which hopefully lives up to its name. Deep blue and with icy cold water, it lies as the deepest mountain lake in South Tyrol (46 m) in a hollow below the Wilde Kreuzspitze and invites you to linger and enjoy the view. Anyone still interested can admire it from various viewpoints on a circuit.
The return route then passes the stately Labesebenalm, through a gorge-like narrowing of the Vallerbach, called Schramme, back to the starting point.
A hike with many highlights and always wonderful views of the Dolomites and the peaks of the Pfunderer mountains.

Tips and suggestions
Driving up to the Fanealm with your own car is only possible until 9:00 a.m. After that, the road is closed to traffic until 5:00 p.m. Alternatives include a shuttle bus departing from the parking lot just before the Kurzkofelhütte or the hike on foot.
Roadbook
From the parking lot, it takes only a few minutes to reach the Fane Almdorf and then continue to the junction with trail no. 9. Follow this trail to the next sharp right turn onto trail 9A. This leads almost northward to the Aschilaalm and then steeply up to a terrain edge. Behind this, you come across the Marblsee nestled in a plateau.
Continue on the path now marked 18B in a northward direction to the Wilden See, located about 200 meters higher, which is the destination of our hike. (approx. 4 hours from the starting point)
Descent: First return on the ascent path to the junction leading down to the Labisebenalm. Trail no. 18. Passing this, follow the broad forest road along the lake creek to the junction with the path leading to the Brixner Hut. Follow this path, now along the Valler Bach in a southward direction through the gorge-like narrowing called Schramme, out and back to the starting point. (approx. 2:30 hours from the lake)
