We visit Laguna Encantada, one of the most famous natural sites near Ushuaia. The lagoon is a body of water around 80 meters wide with crystal-clear, emerald-green water that is fed by underground tributaries. It is located in the volcanic debris field of El Infiernillo, where ancient lava has covered the original surface inflow. It is precisely this juxtaposition of water, basalt and open highlands that gives the tour its character. The approach first leads into the Andorra Valley, where we walk over flat terrain along a wide, very green valley floor. The mountain slopes rise steeply to the right and left, while the path initially takes us forward without much effort. At the start of the actual climb, we cross a stream over a bridge and then enter the lenga forest, which is typical of many paths around Ushuaia. In damp sections, logs laid out help to prevent the path from sinking into the moorland immediately. After the easy start, the ascent becomes noticeably steeper. We climb
