In the first section, you walk on level ground between fields and woods, then you climb Monte Castello along the Via Crucis of Givoletto to continue with a very panoramic route over the plain.
Starting from the center of La Cassa, the beginning is through fields, mostly cultivated with corn, occasionally passing through wooded areas. These are oak woods, similar to those in the nearby La Mandria natural park.
Upon reaching Givoletto, you follow the entire Via Crucis, made up of a steep path with pillars recalling the moments of the "Via Dolorosa." At the top you arrive at the Church of Santa Maria Ausiliatrice, from which you can enjoy a wide panorama, and where there is a fountain and tables.
The rest of the route between Givoletto and La Cassa follows a kind of balcony path that is well exposed to the sun, allowing views over the Turin plain. You also cross outcrops of peridotites, rocks formed deep within the Earth's mantle and which emerged almost intact during the formation of the Alps and today appear as large rock fields that seem to have flowed down from the mountain.

From Piazza XXV Aprile, follow Via Mulino up to the cemetery, where you take a path on the right that later leads onto Strada del Chios. Continue until you reach Provincial Road 8dir: turn left and shortly after turn right onto Strada Regione Pralungo. Proceed for about 1.5 km and then turn right onto a path, then right again and finally left. Further ahead you come out onto a dirt road (Via degli Anterei) where you must make a U-turn to the left. Continue until the surface becomes asphalted: keep right and take Via dei Caduti, which passes near the cemetery before ending on SP 181 (Via La Cassa). Cross the road and climb toward the historic center of the village; near the Parish Church of Givoletto, turn uphill to the right onto Via Rivasacco and shortly after take the Via Crucis on the left. At the top of the climb you reach the Church of Santa Maria Ausiliatrice.
Continue gently downhill until you reach the dirt road: then take the path on the right marked "Anello Ceronda - AC." The path continues with ups and downs and reaches the Ris fountain.
