Kritsa Gorge (George)
The gorge is located south of Agios Nikolaos near the village of Kritsa. In the village, a sign points us to the parking lots. The path is consistently marked with red dots and arrows. After we reach the gorge via a wide path, the scrambling begins. With the help of metal brackets, we have to climb over stones. The gorge becomes narrower and deeper. Many rock blocks have to be crossed. At the narrowest point, the stream has eroded the gorge into a tube, and with the help of a rope and metal brackets, we continue here. Afterwards, the gorge widens again, and after a trampled metal fence, cairns show us the way to the right out of the gorge. A wide path leads upwards and then on a trail back to the starting point where the gorge was entered.
One of our most beautiful hikes.

- The passage in the gorge is amazing. Many metal brackets and a rope help us over the rocks. At the narrowest point, the gorge is 80 cm wide and 150 meters high.
