The Krinnenspitze rises as a broad, somewhat inconspicuous rocky wall above Nesselwängle, while on the southeast it is completely covered by steep grassy slopes. The name comes from channels, rivulets. From the summit, we have a magnificent view into the Tannheimer Valley, but also deep down into the Lech Valley. The tour can be excellently combined with the ascent of the neighboring Litnisschrofen.
From the valley station of the Krinnenalplift near Nesselwängle, we first follow the narrow asphalt road westwards past a roundabout. About 100 m after the roundabout (directly after a small hut) we turn left and take the wide path uphill heading south. After a short ascent, we take the path to the right and thus reach the wide forest road leading to the Krinnenalpe. We follow the forest road uphill through the mountain forest. We ignore the turnoff to the right down to the Haldensee. Here we can shorten the next left turn of the forest road on a trail. Also, on the following ascent, we can repeatedly shorten the forest road on a well-marked trail and thus reach the Krinnenalpe at 1527 m. From the alpine pasture, we cross on a trail towards the east, leaving the mountain station of the Krinnenalplift on the left below and reach a signposted fork.
