On this route, we get to know two highlights of southern Oberallgäu: the Starzlachklamm and the ore mines experience world. First, we hike over bridges and along wire ropes through the adventurous Starzlachklamm, in which the eponymous river has carved its way through the rock for thousands of years, creating distinctive rockfalls and kettle-shaped water mills. Equipped with helmet and light, we then start our excursion underground. From the 14th to the 19th century, iron ore was mined and smelted around the Grünten. On a guided circular hike with the mole "Grubi," we visit the "Andreas open-pit" mine as well as the two ore mines. Afterwards, the "Knappenhock" with its sun terrace invites you to a cozy stop. Children can go on an exploration tour with the "ore mines rally" in the museum village and enjoy the playground.
