You leave the northern part of Roßhaupten (815 m) via Augsburger Straße. At the edge of the village, you go through the B-16 underpass and continue along a quiet little road past the Fischhaus estates. The “Sameister” signpost at the Huttler hamlet directs you on a detour to the nearby Huttlerweiher pond, where the Ammergau Mountains seem to rise right before your eyes.Once we’re back on the main route, a small farm road takes us to the hamlet of Lusse. There, we pass under the state highway to Lechbruck and then take the farm road up to the Salach hill. We turn right through the hamlet and head downhill on a dirt road toward the Auerberg. We follow a residential road eastward for a short distance and then turn onto the forest trail leading to the Kinsegg estate. With the Langenwalder Pond on the left and the Sameister Pond on the right, we pass a charming grove of pine trees—here, forest and water set the scene on the border with the Upper Bavarian Allgäu.The Kinsegg Pond completes
