The adventurous rock formations in the small Wolf Gorge south of Kandern as well as the mighty ruins of the hill castle Rötteln are the last highlights for Westweg hikers on their foot march from Pforzheim to Basel. For a small fee, the castle can be visited daily. From the tower, the view sweeps over Lörrach, the destination of this hiking suggestion. Along the way, beautiful sections of deciduous forest, vineyards, and orchard meadows shape the landscape.
