Natuurmonumenten was able to purchase and preserve most of this heathland, forest, moorland and river landscape in the 1920s and 1930s. Hikers gain an insight into a landscape of times long past.
We leave the Logtsebaan parking lot on the road to the right and walk past a seating area on the left on a path to the right of the road. After crossing the Beerze, we continue on the grass path and follow it to the right along the edge of the forest until we reach a shallow water lake created in 2007. Turn right again before the lake and then through a gate onto a small grassy embankment. On the left is an old cultivated landscape of small pasture plots separated by rows of trees. After the left-hand bend, we turn sharp left (red and yellow arrow) onto a path that leads us through this landscape, past the rebuilt foundations of the "verzetsboerderij familie Schut" (verzet = resistance, boerderij = farm). At the first fork, we keep left on the main path, which leads us to the heath. On the cycle path, we turn right and immediately left with white and red. Turn left onto a sandy path and straight ahead at the next crossroads.Turn right at the next opportunity and then right again shortly
