Ausgehend vom Wanderstartplatz Angertal marschiert man entlang des Angerbaches in Richtung Talschluss bis zur Abzweigung Miesbichlscharte. Der Steig führt durch einen Fichtenwald vorbei an kleinen Bächen bis unterhalb der Jungeralm. Entlang der Skitrasse wandert man gemütlich weiter auf die Stubneralm. Zeit nehmen sollte man sich für die Bank links hinter der Stubneralm. Von dort aus hat man einen phänomenalen Blick auf Bad Hofgastein und weiter bis zum Hochkönigmassiv im Norden. Der Abstieg geht teils über die Skiabfahrt oder den Forstweg zurück ins Angertal.
