The path begins in the center of Bundenthal and leads uphill via Fladensteinstraße to just below the sports field. There it turns left. With great views of Bundenthal, the path leads into the Rechtenbach and from there uphill to the Kastellfelsen. On narrow trails and beautiful forest paths, the route takes us to the summit of the Jüngstberg. Here are some beautiful Buntsandstein rock formations. The most outstanding is the Kanzel. It can be climbed via a small ladder and is secured with a railing. From up here, the hiker has a fabulous view over the Wasgau. We descend along the ridge to the Waldsofa and enjoy the view over Bundenthal. Then it continues to the hunting lodge and to the geological educational trail at the Buntsandstein massif of the Fladensteine. From there back to the center of Bundenthal.

Especially in autumn, it should be noted that fallen leaves on the ground can cover unevenness, roots, stones, or holes in the path. After thunderstorms or heavy rain, trees can still fall or branches break off. Especially in adverse weather conditions, natural paths can have muddy and slippery sections. Not all rocks or abysses are secured with ropes or railings. Surefootedness is required in places. You must expect such path impairments when hiking. If you find certain sections impassable, you should bypass them. Despite the "unmissable" marking of the premium hiking trails, we recommend always carrying an appropriate hiking map for safety, so you can quickly find a safe area, for example, in case of thunderstorm or emergency.
NOTE:
We strive to announce all closures caused by forestry work or hunting societies on this platform. Nevertheless, there are situations where trails are closed and we have not been informed. If you encounter closures or detours on site, please observe the instructions for your own safety.
