Leave the car in the square of Isola Fossara and follow the signs, s.232 (6), on the panel towards Coldipeccio, crossing the village and the Sentino River to keep on the right side (orographically) until leaving the dirt road to climb, at the sign, on the right. (1,2,3,4,5,6,7)
The trail, always well defined, climbs up overcoming the base of Fossa Magna, offering, upon exiting the forest, beautiful views of Motette and the big wall of M. Catria. (8,9,10)
After the signs placed below the pylon, still heading towards Coldipeccio, you cross a beautiful plateau until the fork (signs), turning left along a wide dirt road leading to the village. (11,12,13,14,15,16)
The trail climbs with on the left the characteristic Valle delle Prigioni until the fork with s.233 (7) on the right, to take to go around Motette counterclockwise. (17,18,19,20,21)
Exiting the forest, the path continues diagonally over steep meadows, views of M. della Strega, looking towards the horizon at the small trail leading into the lower part of the forest where it splits; follow the one that climbs on the left. (22,23,24,25)
You walk for a short stretch on a trail then on a wide dirt road which, passing two small, dilapidated and useless picnic areas, arrives at the watering trough of Pian di Rolla. (26,27,28,29,30,31,32,33,34,35)
At the fork of s.283 (27), which goes to Pian di Spilli, and 232 (6) which descends to Coldipeccio, climb the steep grassy slope leading to the summit of Motette (on the left M. Catria and on the right M. Cucco) with many small paths following zigzags towards the left side, s.n., finding traces of the signage of the decommissioned s.23. (36,37,38,39,40)
After admiring the rewarding view offered by the summit, descend to Pian di Rolla and continue with s.232 (6), passing the nearby fork with 279 (22) and the Fonte S. Giglio; then, after a grassy flat area, turn left. (41,42,43,44,45,46,47,48,49)
The trail, which continues to follow the southeast side of Motette, crosses s.233 (7) from the outward trip and descends more steeply towards Pascelupo to reach Coldipeccio, to pass on the left side of a yellowish house. (50,51,52,53)
As for the outward trip on dirt road, at the fork to the right (signpost), plateau with the well visible pylon at the start of the descent where at the end the babbling Sentino River leads back to Isola Fossara. (54,55,56,57,58,59,60)
