Culinary delights with many high-quality, regional products.
The start and starting point is Altomünster station. (Arrival by car or train on your own responsibility) This well-known recreational area in the Dachau region, north of Munich, welcomes you with Bavarian warmth. First, discover the quaint market town with its two breweries, as well as the Brigitten monastery, before you start the day’s stage.
Through the Altoforst, you begin on the holy Altoweg. Steeply uphill northwards through the forest. You pass the small hamlets of Arnberg and then cross the Weilach valley near Aufhausen. Then continue downhill through the Wittelsbacher Forest to Kühbach. Discover the market on a village tour, with town hall, market square, rectory, pond, castle, and brewery!
